fat loss transformaton

Dear Restrictive Diets

Dear restrictive diets,

It’s not me, it’s you. You’re controlling, demanding, and require too much of my attention.

I did my absolute best to show up and listen to your requirements, but it was never good enough. If I wasn’t perfect, I needed to do better. You failed to acknowledge the improvements I did make, and only focused on what I did wrong.

I’m tired of feeling anxious about constantly trying to be punctilious with your rules and the guilt that comes with it when I’m not.

I’m sick of hearing I’d look better if I lost weight.

I’m done listening to you when it comes to what I can and can’t do. I have a life to live and you can’t be holding me back from experiencing it.

I’m going to listen to my intuition instead of your arbitrary rules. I’m going to live my life in accordance to what empowers me, my body, and my life.

It’s over.

Master Your Mindset for Ultimate Fat Loss

You so desperately want to lose body fat and gain control of your habits, but you’re struggling. You’ve tried everything and wind up with the same outcome each time: back at square one, because you fell off...again.

At this point changing your body feels impossible. It seems like no matter what you do, you’re constantly stuck in that fucking awful ‘end-and-attempt’ cycle.

You’re fucking vexed (😣) and probably thinking to yourself, “𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚏𝚞𝚌𝚔 𝚒𝚜 𝚠𝚛𝚘𝚗𝚐 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚖𝚎?! 𝚆𝚑𝚢 𝚌𝚊𝚗’𝚝 𝙸 𝚍𝚘 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜? 𝚆𝚑𝚢 𝚌𝚊𝚗’𝚝 𝙸 𝚐𝚎𝚝 𝚖𝚢 𝚜𝚑𝚒𝚝 𝚝𝚘𝚐𝚎𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛?

Here’s the thing, boo. Most fat loss programs are doing you a huge disservice. While they give you the principals to lose body fat, they leave out the *most* important component for long term success: the mental work.

You can’t have a sustainable physical transformation, 𝘶𝘯𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 you have a mental one too.

And that’s exactly what I’m going to teach you inside my FREE course: Master Your Mindset for Ultimate Fat Loss.

In this course, I’m going to show you what’s holding you back, exactly how to fix it, and help you completely transform your mindset. If you’re ready to finally gain control and achieve the results you’ve been longing for—head to the link HERE to join the course for free 😘 see ya inside!

Is Your Diet Holding You Hostage from Living Your Life?

I used to follow diets that mapped out what I could and couldn’t eat, which essentially mapped out what I could and couldn’t do.

No alcohol meant no spontaneous trips to the winery. No flirtatious banter with a bumble date while eating an ice cream cone (because, duh, just trying to live The Notebook). And definitely no buying a round of tequila shots while dancing the night away with my best friends.

I was living my life in the confines of a diet and to be quite honest, I was fucking miserable. And at what cost? Sure, being punctilious with my nutrition allowed me to lose weight faster and kept my body fat percentage lower.

But this obsessive behavior around food and my body was taking control. The extent of my socialization was at the gym, and my friends stopped asking me to hangout because my answer was almost always, “I can’t tonight.”

This way of living was causing serious destruction, which eventually lead me to an important question. A question that essentially altered (and drastically improved) my life: Was being leaner 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 more important than spending quality time with my friends and living my god damn life?

The answer was a resounding NO.

I decided to redefine what held significance in my life, and my happiness was theee most significant. Feeling good in my body makes me happy, and so does building profound connections with people I love over food and cocktails and meaningful conversation.

Being lean really didn’t mean anything to me. It was just something I was conditioned to believe would make me happy, and yet it didn’t.

Now my life is a mix of eating nutrient dense foods and drinking margaritas with extra salt around the rim. It’s a mix of taking vitamins and taking shots. It’s a mix of honoring my body, while also honoring my happiness.

Nourishing your body is vital, so is nourishing your happiness. Neglecting one or the other hosts several problems, which is why both extremes just don’t work. There has to be a middle ground. There has to be balance.

So, if you’re ready to finally follow a program that teaches you how to have both—click HERE and let’s work together. I’ll teach you how, baby girl 💓 your health and happiness is important to me.

Courtney's Transformation Story

Courtney’s story and transformation after going through EmpowerHer Coaching:

What was your biggest concern before you started working with Devon?

My biggest concern before signing up with Devon was if it was going to be worth the investment or if it was really going to help me.

…soon enough, I discovered, it was worth every penny.

What did you struggle with the most before this program and how did Devon help you overcome it?

My biggest struggle I had before I started this program was that I hated my body. I was completely wrapped up in body image insecurities. I hated having my picture taken and would never let people post them unless I approved. Devon helped me unpack and overcome those insecurities. She made me realize cellulite and my body shape was completely normal. That I was defined by my size. And most importantly, she taught me to love myself—just as I am. She showed me the beautiful soul sitting inside me whose worthy of love and appreciation.

What was your favorite part about working with Devon?

My favorite part about working with Devon is her potency to motivate and having her be my biggest cheerleader!! She was / is my hype queen. I could tell her one small thing I did, and she would celebrate the small success with me. She inspires me and I always love hearing what she has to say.

Also, she’s relatable and real AF. It feels like you’re talking to a friend, not just a trainer or coach.

What is one life-altering lesson you learned through this program?

One life-altering lesson I learned from Devon is to be compassionate toward myself. To be loving to myself like I am to others. To be kind and gentle with my words when I speak to myself.

Rebecca's Transformation Story

Rebecca’s story and transformation after going through EmpowerHer Coaching:

What was your biggest concern before you started working with Devon?

My biggest concern when I started working with Devon was that I was the fear of stepping outside my comfort zone at the gym. I had never really been in the weight room and I was super insecure and nervous about working out in that area. Whenever I wanted to lift before, I would go into the women's section at my gym and work with what they had in there, which wasn't much.

Not long after starting my program with Devon, my confidence in the gym heightened. Her workouts were super easy to follow because she includes video demonstrations of the exercises. Now, I feel more confident than ever—I even wear crop tops to the gym. And, I never thought I’d say this, but I actually kind of like it when people watch me workout.

What did you struggle with the most before this program and how did Devon help you overcome it?

0-4.jpg

I struggled with food the most before I started this program. I was restricted myself throughout my weight loss journey, which lead to overeating and losing touch with my bodies intuition. Devon taught me so much about nutrition and helped me see that I can still enjoy the foods I love while living a healthy lifestyle.

What was your favorite part about working with Devon?

My favorite part about working with Devon is how uplifting she is. She gives the best advice and was there whenever I needed her. Her program gave me the the knowledge necessary to be successful long term and independently so that I can continue on my own without her. Her program is worth the investment. She really does teach you how to live your best life.

What is one life-altering lesson you learned through this program?

That I can accept myself—just the way I am—while actively striving for improvement. That I need to listen to my body and honor her needs. And that a number is just a number and does not define me.

What was your biggest concern before you started working with Devon?

My biggest concern before I started working with Devon was that I was always going to be unhappy with myself. I looked in the mirror and hated what I saw. I was not happy with my appearance OR with my life. I struggled with my emotions and expressing how I truly felt. I was just letting life pass me by, as I sat in misery.

What did you struggle with the most before this program and how did Devon help you overcome it?

Before I started this program I struggled with loving myself. I would try to workout and diet but would not see results quick enough so I would give up. I would tell myself, "Oh well. I’m always going to be like this for the rest of my life." This triggered binges and more self-sabotage. Devon helped me overcome all of this by showing me how to love myself. She provided me with tools to help my find myself again.

Now, it's not just about the results. For me, it's about feeling great in my skin. I’m happy with myself and can embrace any size or form my body takes. I achieved what felt like was an impossible thing to realize.

What was your favorite part about working with Devon?

My favorite part with working with Devon was always having someone to talk to. It didn't matter what I was going through, she made time for me—to listen, to hold space, to give me advice. She's not just a fitness coach, but she’s your friend. She changed the way I look at the world and myself.

What is one life-altering lesson you learned through this program?

One life-altering lesson I learned during this program is that you are NOT your size, your weight, or your appearance. You are your heart, your mind, and your soul. You are so much more than just a body. I learned to respect my body, to care for my body, to love my body. And I also realized how important it is to take care of your head space and protect your mental health.

Kristal's Transformation Story

Kristal’s story and transformation after going through EmpowerHer Coaching:

What was your biggest concern before you started working with Devon?

My biggest concern before starting with Devon was that she wouldn't understand my needs as a recent vertical sleeve gastrectomy recipient. I had previously worked with a trainer who was adamantly against the decision, although the trainer prior posed many valid and understandable view points, I felt in my life the surgery was something I needed and wanted and would benefit my life for a healthier, happier lifestyle. The  vertical sleeve gastrectomy (VSG) decision was not an easy one to make because by no means is it an easy way out of dealing with food issues or creating healthy workout habits. I knew i needed a trainer who was non-judgmental in my decision and someone who would guide me to make healthy choices.

What did you struggle with the most before this program and how did Devon help you overcome it?

0-3.jpg

Prior to working with Devon through EmpowerHer, I had a lot of challenges staying consistent with my workouts. Either I felt I wasn't doing enough or I felt burnt out because I would do too much. I had tried one on one personal training, group programs, and workout programs I would find online, attempting to do them on my own. All of which weren’t successful or satisfying or beneficial. With Devon's program, I know she was giving me workouts that suited me and MY needs, especially with all the changes my body was going through with my surgery.

Not only did I struggle with workouts, but food was a challenge. Staying consistent about eating protein and vegetables was a true struggle for me. With Devon, having weekly follow ups, truly changed my accountability with food and I was finally able to stay consistent with my eating habits. Just because I received a VSG surgery it did not fix my relationship with food, but working with Devon and learning her approach about mindfulness was a concept that helped me tremendsouly reframe the way I felt about food. I never ever felt an ounce of judgement by what or how i was eating with Devon, she simply just helped me reflect on my eating habits and how I could improve.

What was your favorite part about working with Devon?

My favorite part about working with Devon was our consistent communication. I worked with several trainers in the past, constantly attempting to stick to something only to fail and then to feel like I failed them and myself. Devon on the other hand, made me feel empowered, unashamed, unapologetic, and taught me to learn from my mistakes rather chastise myself for it. When I was looking for a trainer I wanted both a friend and a leader, someone who could support me in personal life, yet call me out on my bullshit. Devon provided exactly what I was looking for.

What is one life-altering lesson you learned through this program?

The one life-altering lesson I learned through this program is that I’m human. Life is messy. I will go through ups and downs and there’s no need to be hard on myself or shame myself for the errors I make. Making mistakes is ok—in fact, it’s necessary—it allows me to see what’s not working and what needs changed so that I can better my life. I’m beyond grateful for Devon's guidance.

What was your biggest concern before you began working with Devon?

IMG_6668.jpeg

I have struggled most of my life with my weight - I always felt I was “too big” no matter what. I’ve tried numerous diets: Weight Watchers, low-carb, IIFYM… you name it, I’ve tried it. When I started working with Devon, I was nervous I wouldn’t change my lifestyle; I was afraid it’d be like every other time. I would drop weight, feel great, then fall right back into unhealthy eating, rarely going to the gym, and just generally treating my body like shit.

What did you struggle with the most before this program and how did Devon help you overcome it?

I didn’t think of me, or my body, as something I should be kind to. Devon's self-love component was honestly life-changing. Before this program, I would look in the mirror and pick out all of my "flaws." I would just stare for 10 minutes pointing out things I wanted to change or that I thought was unattractive. Now, I look in the mirror and I see something I love. That was my favorite part about working with Devon. She shows people how important it is to love themselves, take care of their bodies, and live a healthy lifestyle for themselves - and no one else. Her social media posts are always so motivating, she's non-judgmental, and so approachable. It’s hard to find people like that in general, let alone a trainer.

What was your favorite part about working with Devon?

My favorite thing I have learned throughout this program is how important it is to take care of myself. Once I started to love my body, I wanted to take care of it. I don’t look at any of this as dieting; I eat better because I want my body to be fueled properly – but I still eat what I want. I work out because I love feeling strong, I love being active, and I love the way I feel after. These are all things Devon taught me; being involved in this program was one of the best decisions I made for my health, and I can’t thank you enough.
