What Would Happen if You Didn't Run?

She tried it. Once again. Doing what she’s always done.

Run.

Avoiding the void.

Hiding away from the empty space, knowing her pain would lurk into that very place.

This time, however, she knew it was time—to confront, to embrace—as it’s the only true way to clear the heart space.

All this numbing, running, fading away wasn’t actually preventing the pain from coming her way. Temporarily, sure. It distracted her from what killed her soul, but very rarely would it make her feel whole.

So, rather than journey away, she journeyed down the healing pathway.

Healing means feeling, it means revealing. Peeling back the layers of what’s been stealing.

So, she sat and said, come hither pain. I‘m ready to learn the lesson you bring. And it was then, she watched as all that once weighed began to fade.

A little rhyming to encourage the finding of your silver lining 😘 remember, avoiding dark places causes more suffering than feeling into them.
